Red Pikmin

So I originally made these adorable little Pikmin for a friend of mine who was thinking of using them as a crib mobile. Not sure if they’re ever going to be used in that fashion, but if not, they’re still the cutest little flowering aliens ever! In case you never heard of them before, Pikmin are small aliens that Captain Olimar collects in a video game. Now, I’m not much of a gamer myself, so I don’t really know what the game is all about, but feel free to look it up – it does look fun!

So I was looking online for free patterns for them, but I couldn’t find anything I liked, so I just made one! I made it in red, blue, yellow, and purple. All the colors of scraps that I had on hand! And of course I finished the set with a little Captain Olimar as well! Can’t forget him! So, in honor of Captain Olimar and his Pikmin, I’ve provided the FREE PATTERN for the Red Pikmin. This pattern includes a simpler flower than the one shown, and no leaf. If you want the FULL pattern including the changes made for the Blue and Yellow Pikmin, as well as the flowers and leaves as shown, the PAID pattern can be found HERE on my etsy page!
