Leafy Cover Up

This Leafy Cover Up is perfect for those hot spring and summer beach days! I love lace, and these large leaves leave enough space between them to just barely qualify! The repeat pattern is created by simple doubles and chains, so this is a nice easy pattern for beginners.

You can find the pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy!

Yarn:

If made out of cotton yarn, as I suggest, you’ll have a lovely light and breezy cover up or vest in no time at all! I used Comfy Cotton Blend in Spring Meadow (up to 1000 yards).

Inspiration:

Sometimes we just need a fun and flirty cover up. Whether going to the beach, or just to throw over a tank top for that summer BBQ we all enjoy! With its leafy imprints, this one is perfect for every occasion!

Construction:

It comes in two sizes, Regular and Plus, so it can be made for every body! It’s made flat, and is constructed with very little sewing – just whip stitch up each side, and you’re done! You will need basic understanding of crochet stitches: chain and double crochet.

Supplies:

DK Yarn (I used Comfy Cotton Blend): up to 1000 yards

4.5 OR 5.5mm hook

Finished measurements:

Regular size: (up to 40” bust)

Plus size: (up to 55” bust)

Gauge:

4.5mm hook (regular size): 20 sts and 8 rows will be a 4”x4” square

5.5mm hook (plus size): 14 stitches and 7 rows will be a 4”x4” square

You can find the pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy!

As always you are welcome to reach out if you have any questions about the pattern.  Once the pattern is purchased, you may sell your finished items, as long as you give credit to me as the designer. I can be found on Instagram @springintofalldesigns, and Ravelry as SpringintoFall. Also check out my blog at SpringintoFall.design.blog. I’d love to hear from you!
