The One Sided Love is an asymmetrical sweater with puff hearts on one side. This is a lovely EASY pattern for a sweater. Made of mostly half-double crochets, this sweater is cozy and warm, but has lovely texture to keep it interesting! The heart puffs only on one side of the sweater, both rising vertically from the bottom and also on the sleeve, which gives it just the right amount of detail!
You can find the pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy!
Yarn:
I made mine from Caron Latte Cakes, which is so soft and cozy, it feels like wearing a cloud! But it can be made with any #5 yarn (400-825 yards), and a contrasting accent color (40-75 yards).
Inspiration:
This sweater design started with the puff hearts! I wanted to incorporate puff hearts into a LOVEly design, and when I saw these two coordinating yarns in my favorite purple color, I couldn’t resist! The Caron Latte Cakes that make up the majority of the sweater is also so cozy, it makes the ultimate sweater!
Construction:
As always I try to make my patterns size inclusive, and this one comes in sizes Small (32″ bust) all the way to 3XL (52″ bust), so it’s a pattern for everyone! The front/back is made in one piece and seamed up the sides. The sleeves are then made and sewn on. The collar is added last, though if you’d rather have an off-the-shoulder sweater, skip the collar!
