Let me introduce you to you the Rows of Love Bag! With the texture of the puffs and ridges from the post stitches, this bag is sure to be a hit at any event. I used three rows of Heart Puffs, separated by lines of post stitches, keeping it orderly while still showing off how special the hearts are! Make it a clutch, wristlet, or cross-body bag!
You can find the pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy!
Yarn:
I made this out of worsted weight cotton yarn. I used Caron Cotton Cakes, a favorite of mine for all kinds of accessories, but especially bags! It also only used 150 yards, so it’s a perfect stash-buster!
Inspiration:
For this bag, I wanted a small clutch that I could pair with any outfit, but I wanted something that would stand out a bit! The rows of puff hearts and post stitches is sure to draw every eye, and can be made with a sparkly yarn for an upscale event, or in a single neutral color for a more demure look!
Construction:
This bag is made in the round, and picture instructions are given for how to line and add the zipper, so it’s perfect even if you’re new to lining and sewing! You will need to know the basic crochet stitches chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet. Instruction is given for puff stitches, post stitches, and the I-cord strap.
Supplies:
Worsted Yarn (I used Caron Cotton Cakes): 150 yards total (slightly more for cross body bag)
4mm hook
Finished measurements: 9” by 5.5” flat
Gauge: 10 sts and 4 rows is 2” in dc
