When I was 12 years old, my grandmother taught me how to crochet. She only knew how to do a double crochet, and my very first project was a little pink double crochet purse that I was very proud of. After that, I was off and on crochet for the next 17 years, but about 3 years ago, something changed: I became a mom. When my daughter was born, I really took to the craft. It took a little while, but eventually I discovered my niche – TEXTURE. I’m a sucker for puffs, cables, and filigree, and my crochet style reflects that!

Born in mid-September, I love when the leaves begin to change and you can feel a chill creeping into the air. I’m a self-taught crocheter, but my mother was my inspiration to learn. We grew up snuggled up in her afghans and I always loved the beauty of them. My work usually incorporates vibrant colors: lush oranges, bold reds and deep purples are my favorites, but a bright yellow always makes me happy!
I hope you enjoy our site and maybe pick up a few tips along the way. There will be plenty of humorous failures, lots of dog pictures and, hopefully, some great crochet!
Cheers to you all and happy crafting.
